Synopsis:
Like many transsexuals it is my goal, to one day have sexual reassignment surgery to help align my soul and body. As a filmmaker, I have often wondered whether or not it would be possible to use the medium of film to assist in reaching that goal. Making the Cut is my attempt to find out. Through various fundraising efforts, interviews and personal experiences I aim to explore not only the financial and social issues facing transgender persons, but also what it means simply to be female/male bodied in our culture.

Sometimes shooting a documentary is a lot of hard work, but sometimes it's a real pleasure. I met and interviewed 2 members of the Erica Iozzo band while shooting street interviews for "Making the Cut". She has an amazing voice and the band has a great sound. The song is called "Untitled". 09.21.09 - Rummage Sale
I had a great time at the Church of Murray rummage sale last weekend. I sold a lot of my old stuff and made $100 for my surgery. Thanks to everyone who bought something, and to Maria for making the delicious vagina cookies! I even got to shoot some interviews some great folks, and real characters for the film, and do an interview with my pals Andy and Stewart from Brunchohol.
